Nature does some pretty fantastic things sometimes.  I stepped outside the other morning and looked down.  What I saw amazed me…all of these little star shaped flakes of snow, frost, something, just waiting for me to photograph.  A little gift to start the morning.

Buster ate my phone last night.  My cute little red Blackberry Curve that was tucked safely away in my purse.  He filled it full of saliva and it won’t start back up.  Maybe the spit needs to dry out – I did blow it out with canned air.  Does AT&T repair phones?

[Update]  I wrote the above last night.  Right before going to bed late last night, I tried putting the phone back together one last time, hoping it was dried out enough by then, and this time the screen lighted up and it went through the start up process, just like it was supposed to do.  Yay!  It works!  With a few teeth marks and a cracked back for added character.  At least it works.

Last night was another one of those nights where I sat looking at this post waiting for some inspiration to strike.  I cooked supper, some salmon with penne tossed with sauteed mushrooms, carrots, spinach and finished with some pesto, just in case you were wondering.  I ate the salmon and stopped midway through the penne, but I couldn’t think of anything to write.  So I ate the rest of the penne.  So then I was stuffed.  I still couldn’t think of anything to write.  So I wrote this.  I’m sorry.  But I do like my title!

Well, it’s really…Happy Anniversary to my blog!  Just one year ago I started this blog (originally hosted on WordPress) with the intention of posting a photo a day (yep, did that – well, some might have posted early) and to better learn my camera (that part of it took a little longer, and I’m not done with learning yet).  My photos have improved quite a bit over the course of a year, and if you are a glutton for punishment you’ll dig back in the archives and heartily agree with me.

Some of you have been with me from early on – and I appreciate you for sticking with me.  Some of you joined my blogging adventure a bit later than others, but that doesn’t mean I appreciate you any less.  I love all your comments and look forward to reading them all and visiting your blogs in return.  Each of you are inspirations to me.  Thank you all for joining me in this journey.
