I think this might just be my favorite of the sculptures. It is simple, balanced, kind of zen. Not a lot of busy-ness going on with it. I sure wish I would have paid attention to the names of the wild flowers these sculptures represent, but I unfortunately did not. I also really like the very first one that I posted, which is very much the opposite of this sculpture.
Now, I want to clear up any misconceptions that I might have left you with in my previous posts. I’m totally in support of the art beautification grant and the sculptures, as well. I just wish they were located somewhere downtown where more people could enjoy them, and I disagree with the reasoning for their placement along the highway. Actually, when I say highway it is really like a four lane interstate…just not an interstate.
Okay, enough of that. I’ve decided that I’m going to create a posting schedule and I’m going to stick to it. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind. As of right now, I will be posting on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On the off days I’m going to try working in as many blog visits as possible. Back when I was visiting every blog, every day, I wasn’t getting to bed until after 1:00 a.m. most nights and then up at 6:00 a.m. I need more sleep than that and it just was not working for me at all. That will probably mean that I will only be able to visit your blog once a week, but I’ll try to catch up with a few posts each time I visit.
That’s it for this post. Next week I’ll have an exciting announcement for you! Well, exciting to me (and a few others). But, come back Friday…and Sunday…and…
