For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.

A room with a view

March 19, 2010

This is for you, Mom.  The top two images are obviously the same building, just different perspectives, and I think it’s probably the one my mom was asking about in the comments of the last post.  It wasn’t located where the barn was, but somewhere on the drive before we got there.  The third image is of the building located at the same spot as the barn, with the last one showing where it is in relation to the barn.  I think it must have been a garage or something similar.  Not spectacularly interesting, but there you go.

TGIF!!

Love the shadows on the first image of this bunk house. Must have been where the hired man stayed. That block building is ‘interesting’ — wonder what that was?! They went to a lot of trouble and expense to create that one didn’t they?

Don’t you just wonder what these structures would say, Toni, if they could talk! In their day I’m sure they DID have a view and quite enjoyed it. Now we look at them through your lens and WE have the view…of them. I love how you have captured them.
