For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.

Sculptures, part…done

January 8, 2010

My apologies for making this image so tall – tall images are hard to view, so much scrolling involved.  I had originally intended on posting these all individually, but I’m ready to move on to something else.  The photo in the bottom right corner is what the very first image of the series looks like.  Bottom left corner is my handsome son taking a photo of his beautiful wife, who is looking at the sculpture of a potato blossom.  Top right is a wheat head and I have no idea what the top left sculpture is.

Next post is Sunday.  I have no idea what I’ll show you, but it won’t be a sculpture.

Nice series Toni! I wonder if the top left is a fritillaria. I have a collection of varieties & the sculpture does look like one of them but I’d be hard pressed to name the variety.

It seems like they created sculptures of plants that are in the area? If so, what a doubly neat idea!

Flowers in the dead of winter, and even if sculptures (perhaps ‘especially’ in this case) really know how to make the day a better one. Love this series of shots.
Oh…regarding Lightroom, yes I think it will be something that I absolutely love, once I get a little further down the learning curve. It’s such a change from photoshop, sometimes hard to get my head around, but I am determined :)
