For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.

November in Black & White

November 16, 2009

nov_bw_2

Maya at Springtree Road is hosting November in Black and White again this year.  This is my first entry for November and the month is half over already!  Where has it gone?  Where has the year gone?

Saturday night was our town’s Wine and Brew Fest, organized by the Chamber of Commerce, at which they also have some cottage industries displaying their wares.  I had a voice mail from the chamber president  a couple of weeks ago asking if I wanted to participate, however I think he thought I’d be bringing my art glass instead of my photography.  It was the perfect opportunity to make some new contacts and I definitely generated some interest while there for the three hour event.  My son and daughter-in-law came over from Seattle for the weekend and helped set up and take down and they enjoyed the wine and brew while they were there.

The next post will have all sorts of information on some wineries that we visited earlier  in the day.  Come back for a visit on Thursday!
