For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.

Postcard from the edge

July 2, 2009

farm

I found a resource the other day, which could prove valuable for those interested in building a portrait photography business.  Brandography has marketing and branding materials, developed specifically for photographers.  The branding / marketing template packages include everything you could possibly need, from business cards, ads, and gift certificates to reminder cards, bag tags and investment guides.  He has some free stuff available for download, with the catch that you have to register first.  I got three emails from them within the first 10 minutes of registering, but nothing since.  The files are zipped Photoshop files and they are huge – 22 in the Baby Bella package that I was downloading.  If you have dial-up, I would not recommend it.  I started downloading Tuesday night and as of last night I still wasn’t done downloading all the files (I have DSL).  You should be able to personalize the files to suit your business, even the Baby Bella package.

Life continues to interfere with my blog visits and I do apologize.  I really will get around and visit everyone soon to catch up.

That sounds really interesting. I will check it out when I get a chance. I busy creating another photobook this time for my fiends 40th birthday. It’s looking like it’s going to be a 90 page book and I am only 3rd of the way though processing shots. A bit at a time I keep telling myself.
