For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.

Pay it forward

April 15, 2009

mayday_tree

My real life friend, Linda Steider, has a Give it Away, Pass it on; Random Act of Kindness Alert posted on her blog.  Linda is a fantastic, multi-talented artist, in glass, fiber and paint.  Check out her blog with her latest work in glass, which is inspired by nature.  Lucky duck lives in such a beautiful area, it is no wonder that nature inspires her.  She’s giving away something to the first five people who comment on her post, and you can be sure I signed up already.  What she gives away is entirely up to her and it may not be any of her work, it could be a book or gift card or something completely different.  And since I commented on her post, that means I get to do the same thing!  Too fun!!

Here are the rules – they are really pretty simple:

The first five (5) people to comment on this post will get something from or made by me. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations so please read carefully:

•  I make no guarantees that you will like what I make (if I decide to make something).

•  What I create or give will be just for you.

•  It’ll be done over the next 12 months.

•  You have no clue what it’s going to be. It may be something cool in glass or a photo in whatever size I feel like giving. Might even be a book I think you will like or it could be a painting – mine or someone else’s. It may be a gift certificate from someplace fun or some cupcakes delivered just for you. You just won’t know until you get it!

•  I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

•  I reserve the right to change the rules!

And in return, all you need to do is post this text into a post of your own and make or give  5 things for 5 others.

Of course, you’ll want to send me your mailing address…

Sound fun?  Comment below, but if you aren’t interested in participating in the Random Act of Kindness, please let me know in your comment, otherwise you are committed!

Hmmmmm….. Can I be in on your list?

I am loving these macros, by the way!! My P80 does a good job for a point & shoot, but I do miss the old lenses that my traditional Nikon has. Still have my old camera, but haven’t taken it out of the case in years!

I saw Linda’s blog last night and commented on what a cool idea it is today. But I’m not prepared to commit at this time; however, I may use the idea in the future.

Everyone who gets yours or Linda’s things will be very fortunate!
