For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.

November 29, 2008

branch-water-drop-closeup

This is a tight crop of the water droplet that I posted on Thanksgiving day.  You wouldn’t think that a drop of water would be so interesting, but just take a look at that and see what you see.  I stared at it for a while the other day and I’m pretty sure the main part of the image is a tree directly behind it and that dark part at the bottom of the drip is the roof of the storage shed behind that – the image is upside down, but what I find more interesting is all the other things I see in that small drop of water.  I don’t know about you, but I think it is pretty cool.

Another photo for Maya’s challenge at Springtree Road to post November photos in black and white – click here for more info and more wonderful photos.  This one is sepia, but it was taken in black/white.
