I think this is a zinnia. I’m not sure. I know it isn’t a mum. There is a church about half a block away that has these flowers lining their walk. The long stretch of flowers is multi-colored — reds, oranges and yellows, but the short stretch is this patch of solid, light green flowers. While I prefer the multi-colored patch, I find this color unusual and stop to look at them most mornings when I’m walking the dogs. If you know for sure what they are, please let me know.
For those who might be new to my blog, I am based in the Columbia Basin of Washington state. I love using natural light to capture agriculture, flowers, and the world around me. I also do portrait and pet photography, as the occasion arises.
